To study and compare cost differences between foundation approaches, Raised Floor Living funded the construction of two identical four-bedroom homes in Vero Beach, Fla. Each has 1,387 square feet of conditioned space. One was built on a concrete slab-on-grade foundation and the other on a raised wood foundation. Raised Floor Living partnered with Indian River Habitat for Humanity on the project, and construction began Jan. 19. Click here to see the floor plan.
